
In 1994 , in the village of Manlleu located in the county of Osona, Àngel Bujons and Marga Cabanillas opened the El Morter cooking school. Eigth yars later, in october 2002 , they inaugurated the Restaurant of El Morter, a chic, intimate restaurant situated in the center of the village and operated by themselves, who from their vast experience of the traditional Catalan kitchen joined with a touch of class could finally realize their dream. In 2005 , high demand from regular clientele lead to the opening of the "new" Morter, a larger location to cater for parties and celebrations, located in Josep Serra Sió street. In April 2007 both restaurants merged to be what it is known today as the Morter Restaurant . | ||
The restaurant has capacity of 2,000 m2 and boasts an array of features to meet all your needs: An outdoor patio garden with verandas, a large multi use Banquet room, two spacious dining rooms with a capacity for 220 people, and a third room that can accommodate up to 100 persons, which is where our Vicoca Restaurant can also be found. The El Morter Restaurant which is open daily for lunch offer a quiet but warm atmosphere ideal for formal amd informal business lunches. The dining room also offers partitioned areas for a more private lunch with round tables ideal for working lunches.
